I would love to hear from you!
Hi everybody. This section shows the fiction books that I have written. I hope there is something to interest you; most have a historical theme, and all have at least some historical connection, from the absolute history of the Boer War trilogy, the Pryde stories and Whales for the Wizard to the historical background of Powerstone. I hope you enjoy them!
PRYDE AND THE INFERNAL DEVICE
(SEVERN HOUSE 2008)

REVIEWS:
'Archibald's blend of nineteenth century science, history and adventure proves to be an extremely palatable concoction that is sure to entertain historical fiction fans' - Booklist
'I would recommend this book. It is a real edge-of-the-seat read, with a whiff of villainy and a strong dose of romance. Matthew is an unassuming yet valiant hero, and Kate makes a marvellous heroine: outspoken and brave, but with an interesting vulnerability and her own demons to fight. I would look forward to their future adventures' - Mary Seeley, Historical Novels Society
'outstanding; left me wanting more... The balance of context, history, information, story, plot and character is a very difficult thing to "pull off" -- you've a gift. Just don't ever do a Dewey Lambdin and stuff a bunch of sex stuff in. - Purplehaze
'just wanted to thank you for your writing. I've just finished Pryde and the Infernal Device. As a woman, I appreciate Kate's independent spirit. Looking forward to reading your other titles. Just two words for you: get busy! Thank you for sharing your talents. Even sharing them with those of us far away in Texas'. Jeri
